You might need to provide more information about what course you are doing and at what level. For example, if you were studying a degree at a university, you can get Student Finance which would cover the costs until you were earning enough to pay them back. If you were doing a Masters degree, you can apply for Career Development Loans to cover the cost. If you're just thinking about working to cover the costs, then it will be very difficult. To begin with, you'd have to organise shifts around study hours, and making £4500 PLUS living expenses would require quite a lot of hours work. Minimum wage here in the UK is £6.31 an hour, so most part time jobs would be paying around that.

Assuming you're a foreign student who'll be studying at university in the UK; your fees will be considerably more than that. UK students pay around £9,000 a year in tuition fees; international fees start at £15,000, with living costs on top.

On a student visa, you can work a max 20 hours a week. Assuming you can get a job (almost no chance; high unemployment + visa restrictions means you're very unlikely to get anything), you'll get nowhere near being able to meet the costs you'll incur.

You'll need to prove you can afford the costs of studying abroad before you'll get a visa.

It is very difficult even for British students to get jobs these days. Unemployment is very high; a few years ago most students could find part-time work during termtime, and full-time jobs over the summer, but it's almost impossible now.

So if there are jobs available, they will almost certainly be given to home students rather than international ones, unless you have a lot of experience in a particular field that happens to have an available job.
