The gifts I liked to give out were T-Shirts from my hometown here in the US. I am from the Dayton/Cincinnati area, and gave out Reds and Bengals shirts, University of Dayton, University of Cincinnati, and Miami University t-shirts, etc. People loved them. For them, its unique and stands out, and it gives them something to remember you by when you leave. Plus- they are easy and light to pack, which is always a key consideration when you are packing bags with a years worth of stuff.

Bring stuff that people from South America can absolutely not get there! IDK maybe a keychain or something that represents America well? Or maybe clothing items or food you can't get there...be creative =D!! Hope that helped lol

A HAMBURGER! No. My friend went to china last year and her host family really liked her flip flops.
